Why do I need my parents information for financial aid?

I have been myself since I was 18. I 23 years now. I only work part time if I do not make much money. 10-15k My mom has not worked over the years because health problems. my father died. I try to enter a beauty school. and i say they need information on the My mother's income to supplement financial assistance. I do not have access to a telephone at any time ... I'm not a phone. I have no car ..... Basically though, I do not understand why I can not just put the loan under my name. if I need a co-signer my bf do it for me. it is enough and has good credit. ... I live in Iowa by myself .... if that matters .. .. help when I met the admissions office, they told me I needed to have my parents info. .. and as the financial aid department ...

The ministry did FINANCIAL AID tell you that, or was it on demand? I would just call the Establishment Aid Department and speak to a supervisor, tell them your situation, I'm sure someone picks up higher may help.
