Can anyone share their experiences working in network marketing - both positive and negative?

I am investigating entering the network marketing with a company that has an online anti-aging skin care (plus health / beauty lines) and I wonder if it can be profitable and fun. It seems that something I should be happy, but you want to make sure it is not a long-shot type of business sounding better than it can be in the long term.

Normally, you have to invest, then they advise you to start a website in your own name as your business. You need to make sure you cover all the taxes at the end of the year even with all your sales. You would expect someone may have an allergy to the product and saw that you are the owner of the company, then you are responsible. you have to recruit others to work under you and keep a certain quota to start earning money. etc., etc., I do not like it. You can spend your time and your time for him, but if the people you recruit do not follow through you find yourself at the bottom again and just the fat cat fills their pockets.
